Saving Months on Optimization in Mobile Game Development

Performance optimization is something almost every game development team gets migraines over—but it is unavoidable. Optimization occurs in the final 20% of the game development process, yet it can take up 80% of the development timeline.

This is why UWA will be sharing its experience and data accumulated in the past two years of perfomance optimization for many games. Developers using Unity will find UWA’s actual experiences in advanced optimization quite helpful. The talk will involve games such as the classic battle fantasy game Ji Wushuang (極無雙─本格戰鬥幻想) and Ragnarok Online: Eternal Love (仙境傳說 RO:守護永恆的愛), and performance analysis of subjects such as important modules concerning the Unity engine (rendering, loading, UI, etc.), game logic, and memory management. Through this discussion, UWA aims to help fellow developers dramatically increase optimization efficiency and master quick-positioning and optimizing-performance problems encountered in the development process of Unity mobile games.

* This session will be conducted in Mandarin.
