Fate Yaiba
Fate Yaiba used to be the Manager of the International Affairs Department at Chinese Gamer International Corp., in charge of the business affairs and operation communications concerning the product line in Japan. However, creating games has always been his dream, and he finally left his position and began his new life as a game developer in 2012.
His first project, Sakura (落櫻散華抄) in 2013, is the pioneering romance-genre mobile game in Taiwan. At the end of 2014, he founded the game studio CELAD and developed an apocalyptic RPG, The Children of Doomsday (末日之子), utilizing the Live2D technology. His newest release is the enhanced Sakura Remake (落櫻散華抄 Remake), self-published and operated by the developer itself, something rarely seen from Taiwanese game companies.
Fate Yaiba runs his own Facebook fanpage where he shares his development processes and information on version updates, as well as communicates directly with gamers. He is one of the few game developers who interacts with players directly.
Our Missteps in Game Development
CELAD game developer Fate Yaiba, the director behind Sakura and The Children of Doomsday, will be sharing his experiences attained during his five years of game development. What are some choices he once thought were correct but ended up wildly different from what he expected? In this talk, he will discuss the missteps in the game development process and offer some of his reflections.
